Concert on the lawn
A cappella barbershop-style ensemble
The Clipper City Chordsmen is an a cappella men’s chorus whose mission is to preserve and encourage the barbershop style of music in our communities. Barbershop-style singing originated in the U.S. between 1890 and the 1920s and is characterized by four-part, unaccompanied, close-harmony singing. The Clipper City Chordsmen Chapter was established in March of 1945, founded by O.H. “King” Cole, a former Kingsbury Brewery Executive. Come see them perform on the lawn at the Waelderhaus and don’t forget to bring a blanket or chair to stay comfortable during the performance. Learn more on their website: clippercitychordsmen.org/
